Candle Safety
To prevent fire and serious injury: Always burn candle within sight. Keep out of drafts and away from any flammable items.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Never burn a candle on or near any surface or item that may catch fire.
BEFORE LIGHTING A CANDLE

Trim the wick to ¼ inch each time before lighting the candle. Untrimmed or bent wicks can cause uneven burning, sooting or flaring.

Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.

Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings and debris at all times.

Avoid drafts to prevent uneven or rapid burning, uneven flame, sooting or flaring.
BURNING A CANDLE

Always burn a candle within sight. Extinguish candle prior to leaving the room.

Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.

Never touch, pick up or move a burning candle. Never move a candle when the wax is still liquefied. Allow the candle to cool and solidify before touching or moving.

Stop burning a candle when the wax level reaches ½ inch from bottom of container.

Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. After the candle cools, trim the wick and make sure candle is away from drafts prior to relighting.

Never burn a candle on or near anything that might catch fire. Keep candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, décor, carpets, books, paper or anything flammable.

Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.
EXTINGUISHING A CANDLE

Use a candle snuffer to safely extinguish a candle. Make sure the candle is completely extinguished and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.

Never use water to extinguish a candle. Water can cause hot wax to splatter and glass containers to break.
