Meet Tori

Tori Roccia

Before joining Philly Unleashed in June 2020, Tori spent their last 6 years in Philly volunteering at ACCT, assisting under trainers throughout the city, as well as working in multiple dog daycare settings. In 2016 they rescued their second Pitbull named Elsie. After adopting Elsie, Tori took a strong interest in dog training after owning two very unique rescues with different quirks and traits! They then proceeded to go to college online for a dog obedience trainer/instructor certification through Penn Foster College.

Native to the Philadelphia suburbs, Tori spent their childhood growing up with cats & dogs and volunteering at local animal shelters. In 2014 when they adopted their first Pitbull rescue, Jake, Tori knew then and there they would want to work with dogs!

They love all types of dogs and training and behavior, from puppy training to observing dog play and body language, as well as reactivity and high anxiety cases. There is no dog Tori won’t love and work hard with! When they aren’t training dogs they enjoy roller skating at skate parks, singing in a punk band, and playing guitar.

Tori has lived in West Philly since 2015 and loves biking around the city, exploring the beautiful Philadelphia parks, and taking their dogs for hikes on nice days. They love Philly and all the cute & great pups that live in it!
